I had to make that picture but anyway… Holy fucking metal indeed! If you’ve never heard of a little band by the name of SKELETONWITCH I suggest you go to youtube, last.fm, or your local metal retailer right now and pick up their latest slab of metal epicness FOREVER ABOMINATION!!!!!!! Clocking in at 32 MINUTES, this album is pure fucking metal from start to finish! The band wastes no time in making its point, they are hear to tear it the fuck up!

No joke, this record is hands down a fucking beast! Opening with a nice, quiet acoustic intro that leads to awesome riffage and pummeling drums on “This Horrifying Force (The Desire To Kill)” this album is pretty much non-stop, punch you in the face blackened thrash at it’s finest! It fucking kills! Chance Garnette delivers the goods with an amazing vocal performance! Then you’ve got the twin guitar attack of guitarists Nate “Nate Feet Under” Garnette and Scott “Scunty D.” Hedrick shredding it up and Dustin Boltjes and Evan “Loosh” Linger on drums and bass respectively. The Athens, Ohio quintet is tight and precise in their delivery while maintaining every bit of brutality this band is known for.

The transition from previous drummer Derrick Nau to Dustin Boltjes, seamless. The new drummer’s debut with the band is superb, it’s as if they lost a piece of the puzzle, went to the store, and jacked another one from the box, once again completing said puzzle with no one the wiser. 

The band continues to separate itself from the mold with its mix of thrash and black metal coalescing to form their own distinct sound. At least as far as I know, because I have yet to hear another band that sounds anything like SKELETONWITCH! (If any of you have please let me, I’d love to listen to them). While this album is no doubt going to be difficult to top, I am looking forward to their next effort. In a world full of mediocre acts, these guys make music worth banging your head to!

I could go on about the band or the other tracks but quite honestly, I don’t think my words could do it justice. This record speaks for itself. So if you’re a diehard metalhead I suggest you go to YouTube, last.fm, steal it, sell your body, whatever you have to in order to get this album because it’s that fucking good!

I don’t know about you all, but I’m going to be listening to this album for a good while. Thank god for MP3s because if it weren’t for my iPod I’d wear the fuckin’ CD out by the end of the month. (10/10)
